Have you ever seen a piece of clothing, without even trying it on, saying yes you'll be perfect for me?
Ladies I have found such an item, and of course its a dress! I saw this browsing the web while I was sick and still can't get it out of my head. Alas it has already been sold sadly. I wonder what it would take to make it. Any ideas??
This doesn't look too complicated, at least from the pictures. Four piece bodice with four piece gathered skirt (looks like A LOT of skirt). Just add some width the bodice pieces to account for gathers on the neck and at the bust, as well as the midriff panel (what is that actually called, anyway?) This would be a fun project.

It does look like a lot of skirt doesn't it?? I think that is what draws me to it. Plus the round neck. I'm sure this would be simple for you Jacki. You have made some amazing dresses! I'm going to see if I can find some patterns to make this up. Thanks for commenting.
ReplyDeleteHi! I came directly from Sew Retro, I know this post is from last month but perhaps you are still looking forward how to make this beauty. Well I guess you can use the Vintage VOgue 2960 , it looks almost exactly like it, copy this link to see it! This dress is just beutiful!!

Lizzy, your fantastic! I have this pattern in my stash and never thought about it! I'll now have to go buy some black fabric. Any suggestions as to what type? Thanks Lizzy & Jacki
